الله يعلم ما نشكوا من الآلم

وما نعانيه من ضيق ومن سقم

لكن لنا في ظن لا يخيبنا

حشاه أن ترجع اليل بلا نعم

كم جاة من فضله قبل السؤال وكم

أعطى وأغنى بمحض الجود والكرم

الله يعلمّ مَّا نشكوا من الآلم

وما نعانيه من ضيق ومن سقم

English translation الله-يعلم

Allah knows what pain we complain of and what distress and sickness we suffer from, but we have trust in him that does not disappoint us; far be it from him to return our hands without blessings! How much of his bounty has he given before being asked, and how much has he given and enriched with pure Goodness and generosity!
